"Who's Irish?"
-Jim "Big Boy" Wyman, 2001
My spring break wrapped up with a very fun night at Steve Coulter's house, joined by Drew Munao, Sara from Iowa/California, Mike, Nick, Marc, Karl (who raped me in front of his girlfriend on the staircase at my arrival, it was heavenly), Lindsay Brown, Michelle Higgins, Natalie, Mark, and others that I hope will forgive me since I have forgotten them by now. As you can see, it was a full house. We played "Celebrity" again, such a great game, and we made up "special moves" for Bill Murray, Samuel L. Jackson, Cameron Diaz, Gary Coleman, and Huggy Bear. SO much fun, you can't beat high school chums! Oh and I watched the movie of To Kill a Mockingbird with mom, we liked it, but I like the book better...both are recommended.
On Sunday I made my trek back to ISU with mom. We stopped at Wal-Mart, that lady is JUST TOO GENEROUS, she let me buy whatever I wanted and also treated me to the DVD of Labyrinth cuz it's my bday on Monday and she won't be with me, awwwww! Speaking of presents, the other day she gave me a bunch of knicknacks that were all Martini-glass themed, including a magnetic message board and VERY cool neon light (both gonna look good in the apartment this summer!), picture frames, and the like. My favorite thing, as nerdy as this is, is the Very Big and Official Knitting Tote...for the business woman on the go! (Haha on Monday night I showed off my tote around the town, and Dan created the business woman walk, which basically means he struts around with a cell phone pretending to wear pumps and screams "MERGER!" -it's hilarity).
After Wal-Mart, we went back to Watterson and reunited with the Arj! We had dinner at Chili's, and even though they took away my awesome salad *sniffle*, Rj and mom are hilarious to watch together. At one point, he even told my mom she looked like a burnt marshmallow, how's that for charm? ;-)
Then it was time to say goodbye to mommy, I miss her sooooooo much already. And I miss my car! I went back and wrote up an 8 page paper in 2.5 hours because I'm awesome, and then spent time with Rj, who gave my armpit a painful welcome back by biting it and leaving red teeth marks, awwwwww! No, really, we're happy to be back here together :-)
Monday night was "Spirited Away" time finally! I think Marc and Dan both liked it, cuz good anime movies are hard to find.
This week has been amazing in an academic sense. I got three papers back from my midterms- all A's and great comments!!! I'm so proud of me, I would like to buy myself a drink, but I'll have to wait til Monday. Steve Coulter is here, but when he's not filming, he's playing with Marissa and I'm apparently not allowed to be in her presence still because she's a psycho bitch child. Screw people who come to visit and then don't hang out with me.
I think that's pretty much it right now...I am reading EW and I realized I seem to really like zombie movies, I've seen almost every one they've listed, WEIRD.
And I'm still waiting on Pulp Fiction.
